City Creations members took part in a Flower Festival at The Crown Court Church Of Scotland to celebrate 100 of this second building on the site. |
Crown Court Church is part of the Church of Scotland and has been traditionally known as the Kirk of the Crown of Scotland in London. It has been on the present site since 1719. |
The Church was open from the 18th September until Sunday 20th September. They had 270 visitors plus members who came to see the flowers. |
City Creations did seven of the designs, plus gallery and pulpit and was on hand to help the more inexperienced members with their designs. |
Our workshop with Hans Haverkamp had to be cancelled as Hans had an accident and was unable to drive, and in great pain. We decided to do our own thing and experiment with new ideas and containers. |
Member Charles Barnard decided to play with the mechanics he had made at a workshop with Gregor Lersch. He kindly said he would show us the mechanics and how he had planned to use them. We all enjoyed the experience and demonstration and we all felt we had learned a lot. Charles got a well deserved round of applause and our grateful thank. |
