The Area AGM was held on the 19th November 2009 at the International Students House, Park Crescent Conference Centre.

The Chairman Gill Roker welcomed everyone to the meeting. This was her last meeting as Area Chairman

Her report spoke of all the years events starting from the Golden Trail when members put golden arrangements in public places, the Golden Seminar by June Ford who took us through the background of NAFAS. Rejoice at Westminster Abbey when thousands of members enjoyed the feast of flowers at Westminster Abbey. Our Area Show Threads of Gold was a great success. There were other Golden Moments in the year, The RHS show and the Areas participation with a flower Festival at the Temple Church.

Diane Brown, the incoming Chairman said how much she had enjoyed working with Gill and she would be a “hard act to follow” . In reply Gill Roker said that she knew the Area would be in safe hands. Gill was presented with a gift of appreciation from the Area for which she thanked everyone and said how much she had enjoyed her Term of Office.
